All items at Miss Reminisce are created from preloved clothing and textiles that have been purchased from local charity shops, or deadstock fabrics that are end of line and are destined for landfill.
Did you know that roughly 25% of donated clothes go straight to landfill, with a further 40/50% being exported overseas into the second hand industry. (where a high percentage of that still ultimately ends up in landfill)
Miss Reminisce sources fabrics and textiles that have been purchased from local independent businesses, or charity shops around the region.
Some of those Charites include;
British heart foundation - Which funds lifesaving research for people living with heart and circulatory diseases.
St Oswalds hospice - This charity offers specialist patient-centric care for adults, young people, babies and children with life limiting conditions.
Farplace Animal rescue - Helps rescue animals in need and is on a mission to create a network of No kill rescue centres around the U.K.
By making a purchase from Miss Reminisce, you are supporting the cycle of sustainability.
The textile has lived an extended life and you have ultimately helped with the donation to one of the above charities.
Alternatively, you can donate to charities directly and/or shop (or even volunteer) at the many shops around the U.K.
